How long have you played guitar?
Since the 2nd
grade, my parents made me play swedish folksongs and SING.
I wanted to play the drums…
What kind of music do you like?
Music that takes
my breath away (although NOT Berlin), charlie horses giving stuff basicly.
I don't like when it's all to obvious. Huge fan of percussion instruments
such as marimba, xylophone but also stranger things like the theremin. I
like soundtracks a lot. Right now my favourite is "Crash", music
by Howard Shore…
What is your favourite group?
Yikes, that is
one tough monkey…
If I have to name some it has to be Frank Zappa, Freak kitchen, TOOL and
Tom Jones.
Who is your musical influences?
The person that
sort of "opened up my mind".
Mattias "IA" Eklundh. Who taught me a thing or two about cheapness.
He is also a great human being, his aura goes up to the moon.
Frank is also, very much thanks to IA, a great inspiration source.
Jerry Seinfeld is also a true influence. Got every episode on tape and they
still makes me puke with laughter…
How did you join the group?
Me and Magnus
kind of started it all, or how to say, planted the seed anyways.
It didn't quite start until we had Philip in the band.
So, we joined that big black hairy monster called Thingamabob at the same
time.
God knows how long it had existed before we found it…
Role in band ?
I sing and play the electrified guitar. On recordings I try to hit on things so I can develop a little bit of "cheap percussion" as well.
What did you do in "Instant relief"?
A whole lot.
Besides from playing guitar, singing and the cheap percussion thingy, I
recorded, edited and mixed the damn thing.
That ain't no picnic I can tell you.
Mastering was done by the one and only IA!
What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?
There's
way too many things I've done, but actually, today I did something embarrassing…
We were missing one chair to a table in a restaurant and I was about to ask
some ladies if I could take a chair from them. I simply said:
"Is it ok if I steal your telephones?"
When you hear the word "passion", whats the first thing that comes to your mind?
Extreme heat and violent burning… But it doesn't feel like that when Philip is on fire, then I'm just filled with gutlaugh…
