Where I live

I live in the coastal village of Viken which is situated between the city of Helsingborg and Kullaberg, a wildlife resort within ragged mountainous terrain.

Half-timbered houses with thatched roofs, often situated in narrow curved lanes can be found in the old part of the village.

My favourite spot in the village, is the Sophia wind mill, which was built between 1830-1838 by a Danish sea captain, who named it after his daughter.
The mill is shown every Saturday during the summer from 11 am to 2 pm.

Another interesting place in Viken is the Marine Museum which is located on the northwest side of the harbour.
The museum shows collections from old times when Viken was an important fishing and shipping village with shipyards and piloting.
The Marine Museum is open during summer Tuesday - Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The home of Paul Jonsson is guaranteed to take you back into the 1880's.
The house and the garden are declared as building memorials.
The home is open to visitors every Sunday during summer between 5 pm and 7 pm.
