The Immigrant Band will give you a rock and roll show you will remember for a long time…

We want to give you a unique show, and not just the usual covers that most of the bands play.

The idea of a project like The Immigrant Band was started by Fredrik Nyström and Daniel Rosenqvist in their apartment in Hollywood, LA. They were in the end of their time at the Musical Institute, and they wanted a plan of what to do when they came back to Sweden. The idea was to have a band who played Led Zeppelin covers.

They called Mattias Staf and Stefan Larsson to see if they were interested. As you may have guessed…they were, and still are.

The four of us rehearsed a couple of times and it went very well. The first gig was at the Wedstock Festival in Sigtuna.

The band was looking for a keyboard player and got in touch with Fredrik Ebbestedt.

Now when the band was complete we decided to enlarge the show by playing covers made by three bands, instead of only one. But we still wanted the quality of Led Zeppelin and some of the same style…

It was quite natural that Deep Purple and Whitesnake was the bands to play.

We recorded a CD in January –99 and was produced by Stefan Ohlsson at the Studio Subsonic.

On the CD you can listen to : "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin, "Walking in the shadow of the blues" by Whitesnake, "Don’t break my heart again" by Whitesnake and "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple. We think the songs represents the feeling we want in our show : good rock and roll with feeling and quality.

If your mouth is dripping and you want some of the best rock and roll shows available, don’t hesitate…book us now!
