1. Windows 95/98 Installation from Floppy Disks

After you have created the floppy disks click on

START -> SETTINGS ->PRINTERS.

Double Click (or single click in 98 if that option is active) the "Add Printer Icon".

Click the "Next" button until you get to the screen that asks for "Manufacturer" and "Printer".

From this screen select the "Have Disk" button.

Insert the disk you labeled BJ Printer Driver Disk 1.

An "Install From Disk" screen will come up and "A:\" will appear in the box labeled "Copy manufacturer's files from:" Click on "OK".

Select your printer from the list and click "Next".

Select the port you want to use with your printer and click "Next".

Select whether you want your printer to be the default printer and click "Finish".

Files will be transferred from your first driver disk. After the files from that disk are installed it will ask for the second disk. Remove the first disk and insert the disk labeled BJ Printer Driver Disk 2. Click "OK"

After the driver is finished installing you will be asked if you want to perform a self test. If you select yes, make sure you have paper in the printer and after a few moments a test page will print out.

2. Windows 95/98 Installation from Directory on Hard Drive

START -> SETTINGS ->PRINTERS.

Double Click (or single click in 98 if that option is active) the "Add Printer Icon".

Click the "Next" button until you get to the screen that asks for "Manufacturer" and "Printer".

From this screen select the "Have Disk" button.

An "Install From Disk" screen will come up and "A:\" will appear in the box labeled "Copy manufacturer's files from:"

Delete the "A:\" and type "C:\BJDisk" (without quotes). Click on "OK".

Select your printer from the list and click "Next".

Select the port you want to use with your printer and click "Next".

Select whether you want your printer to be the default printer and click "Finish".

Files will be transferred from directory on your hard drive.

After the driver is finished installing you will be asked if you want to perform a self test. If you select yes, make sure you have paper in the printer and after a few moments a test page will print out.

3. Windows 3.1 Installation from Floppy Disks

Close any applications that are open.

Choose Control Panel from the Main Group window in the Program Manager.

Open the Printers Icon

Choose the Add button to display the List of Printers box.

Select Install Unlisted or Updated Printer from the beginning of the List of Printers, and then choose Install.

The Install Driver dialog box appears.

Insert the first driver diskette into disk drive A and select OK.

Choose your printer from the List of Printers and select OK.

Follow the instructions and insert disk 2 if requested.

You'll see a dialog box that prompts you to restart Windows.

In order for the installation to work

properly, please restart Windows.

Be sure to restart Windows when you complete these installation instructions.

4. Windows 3.1 Installation from Directory on Hard Drive

Close any applications that are open.

Choose Control Panel from the Main Group window in the Program Manager.

Open the Printers Icon

Choose the Add button to display the List of Printers box.

Select Install Unlisted or Updated Printer from the beginning of the List of Printers, and then choose Install.

The Install Driver dialog box appears.

Delete the "A:\" that is there and type "C:\BJDisk" (without quotes). Select OK.

Choose your printer from the List of Printers and select OK.

You'll see a dialog box that prompts you to restart Windows.

In order for the installation to work

properly, please restart Windows.

Be sure to restart Windows when you complete these installation instructions.
