According to Mike Portnoy, work on the new Dream Theater album is going incredibly well. The music is primarily finished, and the band will begin the vocals and final recording stages during June. The mix will probably happen in July or August. Hopefully, they will be able to remain on schedule for a Fall release and a worldwide tour to follow!

The project will involve Neal Morse (Spock's Beard), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Pete Trewavas (Marillion), and Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings). They are planning to start June 29th... flights are booked and everything is ready.

A superstar producer from Vancouver has died suddenly on May 18th. When he didn't show up for a session with Yes at his Armoury Studios in Vancouver yesterday, friends searched his home and found the body. There were no apparent injuries or trauma. The exact cause of death is not yet know. Bruce Fairbairn was just 49 years old.
