TYRANNY
Written by Wilfred de Bruijn

The best progalbum of the century is "Tyranny" of the American band Shadow Gallery. It is a concept album about the political situation in the USA. The main character is a man who is working for the military department. He's getting frustrated about the lies and the hypocrisy of the American government. He meets his girlfriend on the internet and tries to break loose of the military system. This isn't as easy at it sounds…. Now about the music. The fourteen tracks are the best that progmusic has to offer nowadays. Dazzling vocals, hammering complex drumming, godly rhytm and lead guitars and very high level pianos and keyboards. I have listened to the album a lot of times since I got it and every time I get the warm feeling of coming home. From the first tones of the opener "Stiletto In The Sand" till the last seconds of "Christmas Day" almost 75 minutes later you can't do anything but holding your breath (watch it, don't take this literary). Everyone who likes progmusic should at least hear this album once.
