HEMISPHERES
Written by Magnus Florin

One of the best Rush albums ever made, the four tracked album from -78. Cygnus X-1 Book II Hemispheres, is an 18 minute long epic story. Lyrics as always written by Peart. This song goes on in the same style for quite a while, but the middle has some really interesting parts. In "Cygnus - Bringer of Balance" Rush creates a mood of drifting space. Strings fills the speakers and some sounds improve the feel in the background. Lee sings "...but I have no Shape or Form...". Really good song.

The three remaining tracks are all relly good too. "Circumstances" is a common Rush-rocker, (with French in the chorus), and with Geddy Lee in a shouty mood. "The Trees" is problably one of the best tracks ever made by Rush. Starts out with an acoustic intro thing and then grows to become something of another rocker. Lyrics about the oppression from the Oaks against the Maples (?). "La Villa Strangiato" is the legendary instrumental song which was covered by Steve Morse and friends on the "Working Man" tribute. Got to be heard to understand it. Really good album.
