One of the best things to hear this year, was that Roy Khan (ex-Conception) had joined Kamelot and was to do an album with them. My earlier experience of Kamelot was that it was a great band with good melodies. The former singer was a little bit too unique though. Kamelot is one of the few bands that really succeeds with finding those kind of melodies, that reminds you of King Arthurs court. I for some reason I've sensed that it's exactly what they want...

Siége Perilous is without doubt the best album ever put out by Kamelot, and if you found this band through Khan and Conception you too may find some interesting tunes and sounds. I didn't like the first track "Providence" so much, or at least I didn't think it was a good tune to introduce this album with. But a friend of mine thought it was the best of the whole album. The two following tracks "Millenium" and "King's Eyes" are problably the best, according to me. Those are the kind of songs that get to you the first time your hear them. The first mentioned is a fast one, similar to speed-metal, which really is somewhat of a new thing for Kamelot, and they do it real good. Another favourite of mine i "Rhydin", with it's mighty chorus and feel.
