A solo album from John West, vocalist in Vitalij Kuprijs Artension. Mind Journey is a little more rock that Artension, but still quite progressive. There are influences from Deep Purple everywhere combined with the 90's sound and direction musically. Some songs sound just as if they were written by Yngwie Malmsteen.

I have really become really fond of Johns voice, since he has a natural similarity to Glenn Hughes. My guess is that John's really into old music, once again, like Purple so the influence from Glenn comes naturally. On the thank list you can see names like Vitalij Kuprij (of course), John Petrucci, Symphony X, Kevin Moore, Jens Johansson and many more. Obviously, John got the help he needed.

A very good album if you like good singers and base your musical taste on it. John is one of those power singers that you just can't resist.
