BREAK
Written by Christian Axén

This is Enchant's fourth release. Their sound is more of traditional progressive rock then progressive metal, but you can still hear clear influences from Dream Theater, and just like Dream Theater the musicians are of very high standard. They have composed songs that in general have good and strong melodies. The most of you will find this very accessible.

Drummer Paul Craddick, is obvious influenced by Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater. The keys are played by Benignus, who does a great job. Ted Leonard, who has a very relaxed and soft voice, produces a great sound. He also does some bass work on the album. The production is clear and loud, everything you can expect from an album these days.

The first song is titled 'Break'. It is the most powerful song and I consider this as one of the best 5 songs on the album. One song that made a big impression on me was the second song titled 'King'. The bass work on this song is outstanding. There aren't any bad songs on 'Break', but some of them are very laid-back with some lack of drive, but still 'Break' is a winner. They all have something to them that really catches your ears, so to speak. The songs mentioned earlier together with 'Defenseless', 'Surrounded' and 'The Lizard' are the 5 top songs on 'Break'.
