SOMEWHERE ALIVE IN THE CROWD
Written by Magnus Florin

Darius live, sounds good? Well, it's for sure a great live feel on this album. Introduced by "Voices" it rocks from beginning to the end. The only negative thing with this album is that the vocals tend to be a bit out of hand sometimes, but that's a part of the whole thing if you ask me. I mean, it's obvious that these guys have listened at lot to old Marillion and Fish. Fish's vocal style was never a controlled one, and Darius is of somewhat the same philosophy. But still very good though. Speaking of Marillion, Darius has chosen to do a cover to the old track "Kayleigh", which I think they managed to do quite good. In the same version as Marillion themselves, but still with a little Darius feel to it. Closing of the CD is my personal favorite track, that I once discovered Darius with, "A Poets Soliloquy". A strong track, that matches the rest of the album. Get this one if you like Darius. Haven't heard of them at all? Check out what you've missed!
