As always when dealing with mains voltage you need to be careful.  Keep stipulated isolation distances and avoid routing mains voltage on a PCB unless it is a separate PCB placed under an isolating cover or in a separate box.

Use correct fusing and a grounded power outlet if you have one available.  

I only deal with solid state amps but for the vacuum tube projects safety is even more important. The rule when digging in tube amps is to consider yourself one-armed.  You don´t want to close the loop with your other arm, do you.....
