On 2/23/86 at the 100 Club in London the Stones played Bye Bye Johnny with Ron Wood in the band. Lets Spend the Night Together* and Time Is On My Side were played with Taylor at the Kemper Arena, Kansas City, Dec 14, 1981. Accord to conversations I had with Mick Taylor and Ian Stewart, Taylor came on at beginning of show. He he played on Let's Spend The Night Together. Taylor was introduced by Jagger at the point of the show when Let Me Go was played, therefore many people assume when listening to recordings of that show that Taylor came on during Let Me Go. Taylor was on stage already. Thanks for the Stones trivia, it's been fun! IF you want the best so far release of those Earls Court songs get the first release from Dirty Work Productions...ALLRIGHT CHARLIE WATTS,live from Les Abbattoirs,Paris,France,June 04,1976.It is a stunningly lovely recording. It is perfect!First time ever those favs above in the best sounding versions ever.It is the best concert on an album from the 75-76 period. Sounds like soundboard but it is not. An excellent audience recording I myself prefer from a soundboard one with audience deleted more or less making it *dead*.A concert is a concert. And should sound like that. Finally then two good ones(thank the Devil!) 13.Fool to cry 14.Hot stuff Live from the same place as Allright Charlie but on June 7,1976 They should change the title to: WE HOPE YA LIKE DIS ONE...but are pretty sure you won't..so therefore we put this big warning sign on..DON'T BUY IT! Cheers, David Hart --------------------SFJ-------------------- From: ehlert@calicom.net Subject: Love You Live and ramblings Sometime during the winter of '77-'78 my folks went to a weekend trip and thought they could leave me home alone without incident. For some reason I went out of my way to prove them wrong. It was a mild winter in Denmark that year, the year I was to turn sixteen. Not too much snow on the ground. They left at 4pm that Saturday and were not expected home until sometime Sunday. A perfect chance to have some friends over for some delinquent fun. Soon a barbarous party was underway, complete with vodka, snaps, cheap German Rhine wine & ample amounts of Carlsberg & Tuborg beer. Around midnight my mother's happy home looked like a war-zone: Smashed glasses (heirlooms, of course), blood on the new white carpets, puke on the bathroom floors. I'm sure you can imagine what the kitchen looked like! The earsplitting sound-track to this demented party was none other than side one of Love You Live. Over and over. Favorites were the last three; Happy, Hot Stuff & Star Fucker. Now, those days it wasn't difficult or uncommon for somewhat mature looking local teens to get in to the pubs and drink all night, so around midnight we moved on for more alcohol. Little did I know that my folks actually were on there way back home that night as they decided to come home instead of staying the night where they were. They found me at a buddy's house the next morning - they obviously none too happy and the aftermath was severe. "How the years rush on by with birthdays, kids & suicides" Anyway, here we are some twenty years later. I live in northern California, married with three kids (the fourteen year old son is no where near as raging as I was, I'm delighted to report). I even go to church on a fairly regular basis. In fact, the other night the vicar was over for dinner. Afterwards we were tasting some wines and I couldn't help but put on Bridges to Babylon (any excuse to play the Stones) and we began to dwell on the past in terms of music in general & The Stones in particular with a bend towards religious references. Back in those days I had had the boots, "Charlie Watts & His Fabulous Rolling Stones", and "Who Went To Church This Sunday". Both outstanding albums! I mentioned to the good father that Mick was, for all I know, talking in tongues on two songs on those albums: "Sympathy for the Devil" and Tumbling Dice". Do any of you have those recordings (I'm sure!), and would it be possible to get a copy (CDr)? Please e-mail me if you do and can. I just picked up a copy of Love You Live today and I love it! I haven't heard this in years, but I have a question: it seems that this album has undergone a re-mix of sorts, at least according to my memory. Hasn't Ronnie's guitar been mixed down on some tracks such as YCAGWW, TD, Cracking Up, Happy and more? This is still a GREAT album, though! What do you say? Best wishes to you all and love all around! I know its silly, but I want to meet Berry, I know he is really private and he has thrown a few of my friends off of his property for knockin on his door for an autograph. I am the Student Body President in the town of one of Berry's estates and I want to contact him about playing a charity function. Does he even do these kind of things anymore? Also, if anyone out there has any info. of which bars keef sat in at in Wentzville during the filming of HHRNR, please reply. It drives me crazy that I lived there then, and was soooooo close to MY keef, yet was too young to appreciate it. What do you all think?
