iPod cable

This is a small cable with a small CPU that will connect your iPod to B&O equipment and allow you to listen to the iPod and control it with your B&O remote, pretty much like most other B&O equipment. Instead of a stand alone cable, you can also select to rebuild an original docking station. There is room in the docking station for the chip. If built into the dock, you can charge the iPod as usual when it is still connected to the B&O equipment. Note that the dock will be re-built and might be not suitable for other uses after re-built. The solution works with iPods with dock contact (iPod 3rd gen with scroll wheel, ipod 4th gen with click-wheel, iPod 5th gen video/nano). When you order please specify which iPod you have.

With the iPod video you can also control video playback if you ordered this solution 2006 or later. Otherwise if you are interested in this, contact me for upgrading information. If you have any qustions or want to discuss this solution in an open forum, you can go to our discussion forum.

Toggle between audio and video playback in iPod Video (5th gen). You can also use RECORD (if connected to A.Tape) or RECORD2 (if connected to A.Tape2). If you use the IR version of the iPod cable/dock you can press and hold the green key for some time.
YellowScroll up (only for IR remote dock after 01-01-2006)
RedScroll down (only for IR remote dock after 01-01-2006)
BlueSelect (only for IR remote dock after 01-01-2006)
GreenMenu (only for IR remote dock after 01-01-2006)
Note that Play and Stop have the same function, as either key will toggle the play/pause status of the iPod. There are two versions of the solution, one that is using an IR receiver to receive commands from the remote directly and one that is using a computer link to the main B&O system to receive commands from it. The computer link version allows remote control from link rooms as well, but only works with some B&O equipment. The IR version is activated by selecting either A.Tape2 (N.Music) or A.Aux on the remote. Here is a list of the compatible equipment:
