Guilt Trip

Guilt Trip is an offspring from the ten year old Chirurgie Esthetique project that started way back in 1989. Concentrating on the North American sounding industrial music, Guilt Trips debute album "Reborn" is a marker for industrial music made in the northern parts of Europe. Influences come from bands like Nine Inch Nails, Numb, David Bowie, Ministry, Skinny Puppy etc. Guilt Trip in collaboration with Revolting Art REcords and the NOIS project are currently working towards striking a record deal with an international record company.

Guilt Trip is a duo that writes the music in Revolting Art Productions studio at Brommaplan where the main part of the production also is made. The members are Maggot [lyrics & noise] and Cabal [programming & engineering]. Apart from being musicians Maggot is studying to become a teacher in history and religion, whereas Cabal who just has terminated his work as head of multimedia, digital video and music production for an ad agency, is now running a company of his own in the IT sector. The band is located in Stockholm/Bromma Sweden where the industrial scene is very thin. The club life virtually stinks since STROKE went down. The only alternative left is or was Necronomicon, the rest of the clubs play synth-pop music with no variation in their repertoire. Revolting Art Productions however has long going plans to change this situation by opening a club with a for the moment secret name.

untouched, Guilt Trip is destined to take a place in the industrial hall of fame. Both Maggot and Cabal are involved in several music and art projects with other artists and bands. Among them are Mr BC (Finland), Richard Wesemeyer (Sweden), DAKA (Sweden), Frank Mbalire (Uganda), Sammy Kasule (Uganda), Mike & Prince Jeff (Nigeria), Niklas Adegren (Sweden), Vincent O'Reilly (Ireland/Sweden)..
