How to remove region coding in Hitachi DV-P705

1. Download the file (522 Kb, zip file). File contains:
0fls_wrt.bin
1fls_img.bin

2. Create a CD-R, format MODE 1 with CD volume name HITACHI_DVD_PLAYER in capital letter.

3. Copy the files
0fls_wrt.bin
1fls_img.bin
to the CD in that order.

4. Plug in AC cord.

5. Press the POWER key on the DVD Player.

6. Press the OPEN key to open the tray.

7. Put the CD-R on the tray.

8. Press the CLOSE key to close the tray.

9. Wait about 30 seconds.

10. The tray will be opened automatically. Then take away the CD-R.

11. Pull the AC power cord out from the power socket and put it in again.

12. Push the POWER button. Close the tray.

Now the region coding is removed.
