How to remove region coding in Hitachi DV-P505
1. Download the file (363Kb, zip file). File contains bank30.rom.
2. Create a CD-R in a computer CD-R recorder with bank30.rom as content.
3. Plug in the AC cord on DV-P505.
4. Press the POWER key on the DVD player.
5. Press OPEN key to open the tray.
6. Put the disc on the tray.
7. Press the CLOSE button to close the tray.
8. Wait about 30 seconds.
9. When the process finish, the tray will automatic open and the DVD player will be turned off automatically.
10. Take away the disc from the tray.
11. Press the POWER key then the tray will automatic close.
12. Press the SETUP key on the remote. Then the menu appear.
13. Select the GENERAL SETUP by the cursor and press the ENTER key.
14. Select DEFAULTS by the cursor and press the ENTER key.
15. Select RESET by the cursor and press the ENTER key.
16. Press the SETUP key.
Now the region coding is removed.
