Midot Software Ek. för is an economic association which was founded in the autumn 1998. The origin of the company was a school project at Chalmers University of Technology in which we developed a mouse-training program for children with autism. Since this program was very well received we decided to continue with developing it.

History and important events

Fall 1997
|
The
project Computer systems for children with autism at the Computer Science program at Chalmers University of Technology started. In co-operation with Rebeckaskolan (a school for children with autism in Gothenburg, Sweden) design guidelines for a program is created.

Februari 1998
|
A first prototype to the program Musbus(Mouse-fun in swedish) is shown to teachers from the Rebeckaskolan. The program is adjusted along with the teachers wishes.

April 1998
|
Musbus is installed at the Rebeckaskolan and tested (with positive result) by students.
|

Maj 1998
|
The project is concluded and the the most recent version of the program is installed at the Rebeckaskolan. The program is now used on a daily basis.

Fall 1999
|
Midot Software is created to continue developing the program. Eventually this will result in a commercial product.
|

May 1999
|
The project is presented at CHI '99 (Conference on Human Computer Interaction) in Pittsburgh, USA.

Rewards and scholarships
|
| |
Musbus has been awarded the Ericsson Resarch scholarship in April 1999. The program has also been awarded the Albihns scholarship (most creative student product of the year) in May 1999.
