Låtfiol Blekingelira Smålandsharpa 10-string mandola
1st nyckelharpa 1979 Moraharpa Madesjöhummel New!
Sound preview: Polska från Mora (mp3 mono 33 sec 259 kB)
The oldest Swedish nyckelharpa that is preserved is the "Moraharpa", dated 1526.
This is my own 1998 copy.

In the same way as with the Blekingelira it was important for me to build an instrument that could be played together with other musicians and existing tunes. Because of this, the key positions are re-calculated with some additional keys.

The Moraharpa is supplied with one melody string and two bordoune strings.

My current tuning is d1-a-d when playing in standard key D/dm.
