TECHNICAL RISKS AGENCY

Applications:

The sign system is suitable for the requirements of the Oil Industry (i. e. the demands of Oil Refineries, the Chemical Industries and the Oil Terminals and Harbours. The authorities require marking signs to be placed on Valves, Pipes and other Equipment, making it relatively easy to create checklists on how Valves should be operated( open – closed – throttled down) in a particular system.

By putting equipment numbering on computer, marking can also be the basis of frequent maintenance and in that way keep control over when overhauling - maintenance should take place and how it should be done.

When the overhaule is completed, the actions taken and the condition of the equipment is written into the programme. This is one of the best ways of having control over your equipment at the same time as allowing easy budgeting for future investments.

Manufacturing methods:

The signs are made in the following sizes, A 4 (295 X 210 mm), A 5 (210 X 150 mm), A 6 (140 X 100 mm) and A 7 (100 X 70 mm), the signs can of course be ordered in other sizes.
The signs are completely resistant to the sun´s UV-radiation, hydrocarbon products, solvent and most chemicals.
Each signs is supplied with a colour code in compliance with Swedish Standard SS 741 or to the standard you require.
The baseplates of the signs are made of salt water-resistent 1,5 mm aluminium. The front is treated with a reflecting material. Numbers, letters and other symbols are written on a special tape by computer, produced on special printer, and are then vulcanised to the reflecting material of the notice.
A film is then stuck over the whole notice, which protect against UV-radiation from the sun, hydrocarbon products and chemicals.

Fastening of the notices:

Every sign is supplied with a very simple fastening device which makes a stable fixing to valve, insulated and uninsulated pipes, or other equipment. The fastening device is made entirely of stainless materials. Preparations for installation of the signing system:

For the signing system to work there must be a Flowsheet or Isometric drawing of the installation, marked with the numbers or other designations given to the valves, pipes or other equipment. The same number will be found on installation on field.
