The idea of putting out the HEATHENDOOM magazine was brought to life during the later half of 1995, when Petra Aho joined forces with HEATHENDOOM MUSIC. She and Per simply wanted to put out an outstanding and original piece of art in paperform. The first creation came out early 1996 (see cover and further information about issue one below), and the response to it was awesome, 400 copies sold within two months, and the reactions from the crowd was incredible. Everybody seemed to like the intense and the original features, all the way from magic articles and reviews, to interviews with all kinds of Metal bands. That was the meaning from day one. To mix the contents with like 60% Metal and 40% magic-stuff. A funny thing to know is that Per and Petra had also been doing another fanzine together earlier, called ABRUPT KLIFFOTH. But that zine only came out once, and was done in 24 hours (all of it, from doing the interviews, reviews to lay-out...etc). And it was only printed in 25 copies, by Robban Kanto, well worth mentioning.

Much earlier Petra had been doing her own fanzine called SURLY ZINE, in two editions, and Per did four issues of a rag named MOULD MAGAZINE.

Today HEATHENDOOM MAGAZINE is Dead, and it seems as it will stays that way...Only time will tell...
