| When in the game all but the GUI is black:

| Your graphic card probably don't suport the transparency method used in Age of War. You can try runnig the game in software mode.

| You probably don't have the correct video codec. You can try runnig the intro in a normal video player...

| I get an error: cannot initialize 3d hardware, or something like that.

Its a hardware compatibility error:
- Make sure you have the latest DirectX drivers
- Try to run the game in window-mode
- Try to change some Config settings (turn off Antialiasing)
- Install the latest or different video drivers
