The whole thing started in the summer of 1996 when Jesper Wihlborg - guitar, Magnus Danielsson - bass and Magnus Hultqvist - drums, met for a jamming session. The chemistry was good and a couple of months later, in order to make the band complete, Ulrika Linde teamed up on keyboards. The band played two shows with Jesper on vocals. However, he felt that he wanted to focus more solely on his guitarplaying and therefore Per Karlsson was introduced in to the band and he became the new vocalist. The group continued to play concerts, and made one six-track demo tape with covermaterial. After that they made one more recording with two cover songs, and one song that the band had written. The time was right to move forward and they started to write more material. For the third time the band went in to the studio in spring 1999, this time to begin the recording of the new material which eventually would result in their debut album "Soulflyer".
