Story:
This is Dylan at his hight of the "acid-rock" period. Bob was touring with The Band at the time but did'nt really want to use them in the studio, he wanted some new and fresh ideas. He had tried record the songs with The Band a couple of times but it did'nt really come together as he wanted. Then Bob Johnston suggested Bob to go to Nashville and try to record it with some studio musicians. He did go and the result was amazing. Almost every song is played live at several occasions. some of them almost at every tour since 1966!
