Other notes
* 1992: Shirvan Kyurdamir withdrew after 26 games with the record:
26 3 1 22 10-84 7. Their matches were declared null and void.
* 1992: Nidzhat Mashtagi had all 38 games set as defeats, their games
aren't counted in the official table.
* 1992: The total goaldifference is +4.
* 1992 & 93: Spring-Autumn system.
* 1993-present: Autumn-Spring system.
* 1993/94: There's one odd thing here: Neftchi Baki have 12 losses but
only 11 goals conceded, but the overall number of goals for and against
ad up! This must be because 20% of the matches this season weren't
played and subsequently set at 0-0 to either team, but with zero points.
* 1994/95: 12 clubs left the Azeri FA and started an independent league
which folded quickly because lack of funds.
* 1994/95: Khazar Lenkoran withdrew after 12 matches, the remaining games
were counted as 0-3 defeats.
* 1997/98: Khazri Buzovna withdrew after 8 matches at 8 1 0 7 6-25 3,
their place was taken by U-18. The latter did not overtake Khazris
results but played the games themselves.
* 1997/98: Garabagh Barda withdrew during the second half of the season
and had all remaining matches set at 0-3 defeats, except the homegame
to Sumgayit which was set at 0-0 to both.
* 1998/99: Goaldifference are missing from the following number of games:
Kapaz Ganja 3, Garabag Agdam 5, Dinamo Baki 5, Neftchi Baki 3, Shamkir
3, Baki Fahlasi 5, Turan Tovuz 4, Vilash 3, Bakili 5, OIK Baki 5,
Kimyachi 4, Shafa Baki 4, Shahdag Kusari 6, Neftegaz-GNKAR Baki 3.
* 2000/01: Shahdag Guba withdrew after the first round of matches and had
the rest of the games set at 0-3 defeats.
* 2001/02: I have decided to count this season even though it isn't
officially recognized by the Azeri federation. The reasons are that
the Championship and the Relegation playoff were played through
(-1 round of matches in the latter), and also because they were
played according to the teams' original placings in the regular season
table.
* 2001/02: Araz Nachivan weren't admitted to the league (Sahdag Qusar
replaced them) at first but when Vilash Masalli withdrew after 1 game
they were admitted all the same. However, Araz themselves withdrew
after the first round of matches.
* 2002/03: No championship because internal football administrative
problems.
* 2003/04: Lokomotiv Imisli were taken out of the championship after
round 15 and had all subsequent matches set to 0-3. Also, Umid Baki
withdrew after 8 games. Their results were declared null and void.
* 2004/05: A championship deciding game was needed as the top two teams
ended on equal points. The game is counted in the table.
* 2004/05: Safa Baki withdrew during the winter break because of
financial difficulties. All their remaining matches were set to 0-3.
* 2005/06: FK Shamkir, Karat Baki and Energetik Mingacevir all withdrew
before the season due to financial difficulties.
* 2006/07: FK Ganca were excluded and all their played matches were
declared null and void.
