Intentions

I started to work on this list to show that Martha Argerich has a far larger repertoire than she has recorded and, not least, a far larger repertoire than what is generally believed. Many piano aficionados are not awere of that Argerich played at least six Mozart concertos during her career, nor the Grieg concerto, nor the Scriabin Sonata No.5, nor the Second and Third sonatas by Brahms!

In recent years Martha Argerich has added several new compositions to her repertoire, often chamber music. I can't resist to mention the Schumann Quartet and the Shostakovich Quintet, both which I had the privilege to hear in Lugano in June 2006.
