Classes

Once you have chosen a race its time to choose a class: explorer, trader or warrior. The skills you then receive is based both on the race and the chosen class, giving you 9 different character types. Sadly the resources was cut during the development of the game and at launch there was only 6 to choose from, but I will list all the possible classes for completion. As three of the classes wasn't included in the launch there is some speculation around what skills they may get, but I have tried to follow the race specifics (also looking into the game files for information). The 9 classes and their special skills are as follows:
The nine classes in the game

The terran trader had the only shield boosting skills in the game in shield charging and could also recharge skills, making them very popular for the epic raids as a helping class. But the main focus of the terran trader is in trade, with a full set of trade skills (only missing reactors) and a max level of negotiate.
