The town
of Acumin is situated on the outskirts of Dolwood forest. Being one of the
connections between east and west it relies heavily on trade and the
opportunities it brings. Quite the opposite of many other towns that are
nothing more than fruitless mud holes tarnishing the light of the Empire,
Acumin prospers by issuing tax on merchandise sold at its markets, its huge
storage facilities can be rented at a price and Acuminian lumber is renowned
for its exquisite style and durability.
The lure
of all this luxury has entranced many a rouge band, the promise of easy wealth
to any and all daring enough to walk down the path of crime has threatened the
peace of Acumin since the days of its founding. Ever threatened by bandit attacks the townsfolk stay vigilante
and ready. A stockade wall surrounds the town itself. Ten foot tall and triple
layered it has and hopefully will stand as the greatest defence against these
invaders.
The
community is not one made to live in fear though. The Imperial guard, trained
and able, purge any threat that is of great consequence. Therefore, under the
guise of tranquillity, the merchants bring in money, jobs, information and
entertainment to this small community.
