To make any Development into more of a Game, it is important to set clear goals. No matter if you "play"
for yourself or with others, feedback is important to keep the fun of the Development process, and stay at
it. That is why you set goals - small goals that can be accomplished, so that you feel that you are making
progress.
If you encounter a task that you find easy, you can always make it more challenging by setting a time
limit or making yourself complete the task with very little code. If Development is supposed to be fun,
it has to be challenging enough, so don't hesitate to set a time limit for yourself. You will see it
helps your efficiency a lot, too.
If you get stuck, don't hesitate to ask for help. But also remember that you should try it yourself
first. If you never encountered any difficulties, you wouldn't learn anything. Also, be careful not to
just let someone else do everything you don't immediately understand. Stay with it and try. Not only
will you learn, but you will experience more fun too.
Try to finish your product. Make sure everything works, and don't leave things undone. Try to make it
as clean and nice as you can. You'll be much more satisfied with the result.
And finally, share your thoughts. Write them down. Why don't write a short web-page presenting the
Game you made, and let others have it too? It it's too good for that, sell it! Noone will blame you. But
of course, I would like a copy for free. ;-) And so will he/she who wrote the Game Development Game.
