| I remember spending a summer in Brittany. I was about nine or ten. My uncle had rented a house in Carantec with a backgarden just next to the beach. The tide was impressive. Cars would drive on the sea bottom out to an island, and get stuck there. It was a great place except for the rain. It rained all the time so my mother usually took me to this creperi. You could have an entire crepe- dinner with different fillings. My favorite was/is just plain nutpaste and sliced bananas. Whenever we went there they played the musictrack from a film. Mother bought the record. And for several years I listened to it without knowing anything else about the film than what I could guess from the sleeve. Allways remembering rainy Carantec. | Many years later while visiting Paris I saw that the film was run at a small cinema in the 16th district. It was strange to finaly see the film which music I was so familiar with. It was great. Il etait une fois dans l¥ouest. |
