These aren't really codes, but they are fun little secrets:

IN THE TOWN OF MELEE ISLAND

Get the fortune teller to tell you your future.
Talk to the pirate in the white shirt and ask him about Loom in the Scumm Bar.
Talk to the dog in the Scumm Bar.
Ask the Important Looking Pirates about what is in Grog.
Play with the rat for a while near the Men of Low Moral Fiber.
Walk into the alley when you hear someone calling from it.
Try to steal from the store several times.
Look at the sign near the clock and look at the clock 3 times.
Walk through all the doors in the store.
Let the rat out of the prison.
Let yourself drown when you get thrown off of the dock (be sure to save first!)

OUTSIDE THE TOWN

Look at the stump in the forest.
Talk to Meathook before Elaine is kidnapped and ask him about his talking tattoo.
Try to buy Stan's ships that you can't afford.

ON THE PIRATE SHIP

Read the Captin's log about Toothrot.
Threaten the crew and then try to tell them what you think "Keelhaul" means.

ON MONKEY ISLAND

Walk to the far right of the heap o' rocks (this one is funny.)
Sink your ship with the primative art.
Tell the natives to look behind them for a three-headed monkey twice.
Look at the skeletons on poles outside of the giant monkey head.
Keep getting captured by the natives and getting traped in the hut. Keep looking at the door each time.

ON THE GOST PIRATE SHIP

Board the ship before you use the eyeball necklace.

When you start a new game,don't build anything. Use the easy money code. Keep using it until you get as much money as you want. When earthquakes happen, there will be no fires at all because you didn't build anything. Start a new game. Then use the easy money cheat and the above tip. Then pause the game. Build all your buildings, homes, et cetera,in groups. Put all of your homes near each other away from industrial and commercial areas. Now build all of the industrial areas away from homes and commercial areas. Build all of your commercial areas away from industrial areas and homes. This will increase your population because there will be no traffic around the homes.

Eliminate SimCopter 1

Anyone who has built a successful airport in Sim City 2000 knows that SimCopter 1 can get annoying. To eliminate it, shut off disasters, then go to the icon bar and select the centering tool. These are now your official SimCity cross-hairs. Possition it over the unfortunate copter and press the left button on your mouse. This will take some practice, but it's funny when you hit 'em.

Magic Eraser

With the magic eraser, you are able to erase structures. But when you query on the blank tile, it still shows the structure! This is perfect for arcologies, because you can build over them, and the population remains! This is how you do it:

Select the "Tree/Water" icon on the toolbar, and choose trees.
Click and hold the mouse button over the part of the structure you want to erase.
Without releasing the mouse button, press and hold Shift
Without releasing the mouse button or the SHIFT key, drag the mouse over anything you wish to erase. The buildings will vanish, but the population will remain intact.

Phantom Water Pump

Here is a way to make your game think you always have maximum water capacity from only one water pump.

De-zone a 3x3 grid on the outskirts of your city.
Place one water pump in the center of this grid.
Connect water pump to power.
DO NOT connect pipes to this pump!

Now you don't have to worry about running out of water. It's best to do this at the begining of the game so you don't have to worry about it later. DO NOT add any more water pumps for this trick to work!

First, open a user game in Tutorial City. Next, use the cheat to get all the Copters. Enter the green military helicopter. If it doesn't have all the avaiable options, buy them, and Save your game! If you try to shoot the water cannon, bullets will fire. When you use the tear gas launcher, deadly missles will fire. For the best results in accuracy, change to the cockpit view. The cross-hairs is where your barrage will hit.

Game Tips

The metro station requires a subway tunnel running the entire length of the landform on B10. If you build anything on B10 except the Metro Station, you will not be able to place it. Even if you bulldoze things that were placed on B-10, the floor section will remain, and even the smallest floor section will block the Metro tunnel. The only exception to this is the "lots of money" cheat and the elevator mechanisms that "hang down" from elevators which terminate on floor B9. Contrary to the manual, you do not have to bring all service elevators to the recycling center. It would be impossible since service elevators can only go 30 floors. But do have at least one service elevator going there. Just like real-life towers in real cities, you'll find that stores, theatres and other commercial establishments usually do well in the basement. But they also bring in a lot of traffic from outside. In order to keep your "permanent" population upstairs happy, you may need to have elevator service that services only the basement levels and the floor 1 lobby. If you build a regular elevator that passes through a recycling center, you may occasionally see people get on and off in mid-air on the upper floor of the recycling center. One successful strategy is to keep offices and condos totally separated by building entire floors of offices and entire floors of condos. You might want to mix fast food joints with offices on the floor just above each lobby and put all your stores, movie theatres, etc. in the basement levels. How can you tell if SimCitizens are waiting to go up or down an elevator? Remember the mneumonic LARD. People waiting to the -L-eft of the elevator are -A-scending, while those waiting to the -R-ight of the shaft are -D-escending.

Monster on the Mountain
from King and Spunky: Start a new game. Instead of going down the slope, press UP on the keyboard. The distance (located on the top-right part of the screen) will start to decrease. Keep going up until the distance shows -122. You then should see the monster.
Mud Mushrooms
from Mr. Misty: Start skiing and get near a brown mud block.Use the keyboard to straten your skis horizontally while lined up under the block. Press 8 on the key pad to scoot up the slope, and hit the mud. When you hit the mud block, it will break into a mushroom.
Set Tree's on Fire
from The GameDr: When you get to a dead tree press both mouse buttons at the same time. You will jump over the tree and set it on fire.
Slower Speed

Unlimited Resource Units
from James Burkes (paradeja@ix.netcom.com): This can be done at any time in the game when you have a Lander. Go to the Earth Starbase and select Outfit Starship. Select the Lander and start selling. When you have no more Landers the blank space where the Lander was will still be selected so keep selling. The number of Landers will switch over to 255 and the top of the screen will be filled with Landers. Keep selling until you have all the ResUnits you can handle.
Note: This code will only work on the original Star Control 2. If you have installed the patch, this trick will no longer work. It is a glitch and was corrected in the patch.

Free Pkunk Crew
from James Burkes (paradeja@ix.netcom.com): This is simple cheat, but save the game before trying. Take all the men off of a Pkunk ship but 1. When you go into battle with the ship, you have a full crew of Pkunk for that ship.
Make the Utwig work at 250%
from James Burkes (paradeja@ix.netcom.com): After the Ultron is taken back from the Vux and has been repaired, but still isn't working right, go to an Utwig colony. Tell the Utwigs that you fixed their Ultron. After it's tried and the Ultron still isn't working, tell them you'll try to fix it. The colony's work will be improved by 10 to 15 percent. Keep doing this until you get near 250%. DO NOT GO OVER 255%, it will reset to a low number.
Use Any Ship in Hyper Melee Mode

Dagger of Penetration
from OVERRIDE24@juno.com: Start a new game. Before going down the first flight of stairs, find the lever on the wall next to the stairs. Pull it Up, Down, then Up again. After that, check all of the inner walls on the square shaped hallway that you found the giant ants in.
Eventually, you will find a secret compartment with a lever in it. Pull the lever Down and you'll hear a sound. Check around the hallway for a new passage. You will find three grenades and, (if you search the walls) a secret compartment with the Dagger of Penetration -- the second best dagger in the game!

Theme Park

Build on Shops
from Gerbil Man: First, get or build a shop. Then if you need a toilet or another attraction right with the shop but no room, right click on a spot (not the entrance) and it will delete that part of the building, but it looks the same. Then put the toilet or attraction, even a shop there. It might look like its not there, but it is.
Debug Mode: For a cool $50,000, enter your nickname as "HORZA" and start a new park. The next time you're asked for your nickname, enter it as "HORZA". From here on you can get $50,000 by pressing Ctrl-C. Also, you can hit Shift-Z for all the trees, bathrooms, etc. Ctrl-Z for all the shops, and Alt-Z for all the rides.
Mega Park: For a megapark, enter your nickname as "DEMO", then continue. This will load up a Megapark with most of the rides but a few problems for you to fix

Secret Room in Lara's House

When you explore the outside of the house go to the front door and open it. Walk straight in and look at the two halls on each side of the clock. You will be coming back to the righthand hall after you hit the switch I'm getting ready to tell you about.

Leave from the door you just opened and go to your left, head into the maze. Go left always in the maze unless your only option is to go right. When you get to the back of the maze you will see a brick wall, look down the hall and you will see two openings. Take the first opening to the right and fall into the hole. Then go to the end of the hall and jump out, push the button on the wall and you will see a cinema of the door opening back in the house. This door is timed, so you have to be fast.

Go back the way you came in, jump out of the hole and go left. Then keep following the maze turning right everytime unless you have to turn left. Exit the maze at the end and run back into the house and through the door. It leads to the basement below, where you'll you will see several chests and windows on each side. It looks like a huge statue is on the right.

Debug Mode

To enable debug mode, perform the following steps.

1. Get to an MS-DOS prompt.
2. Go to the directory you installed Ultima VII in.
3. Type ULTIMA followed by a single space.
4. Hold ALT and press 2, 5, 5 on the numeric keypad.
5. Press ENTER.

While playing, you can press F2 for the cheat menu and F3 for teleport map. If you press ALT + 4 and you click on a person, the person will drop all the items he/she is carrying.

Hidden Treasures

Start a new game using the Debug Mode code above. In the first town you appeared in the new game, go to the dead blacksmith's shop (at the bottom left corner of the town) and stack crates outside it so that you can climb to the roof. Once you reached the roof, go to the back of the chimney and you will be teleported to a secret room. You will find the following items - 8 suits of magic armor, 2 sithes of death, a juggernaut hammer, a bird (it is a weapon), 2 magic axes, lots of magic rings, a spell book with all the spells, 1000 gold, 100 lockpicks, 100 of each regend, a purple wand, three prisms and a Hoe of Destruction (the most powerful non-magical weapon.)
