Cheat Keys

Big Red Racing

Use Any Car on Any Track

At the DOS prompt, get to the directory where you installed Big Red Racing. Once you're there, start the game with the command:

racing -car (car1) -car (car2) (DOS version)

or

winrace -car (car1) -car (car2) (Windows 95 version)

Replace (car1) and (car2) with the cars you wish to use. Start the game and go to the Car Select screen. The vehicles you selected should be available.

An example would be: "racing -car ATV -car Feheli". You can figure out all of the car names by opening up the directory where BRR is and using the names of the .VHC (vehicle) files.

Note to demo users: The hovcar does not work and you can only race against the Feheli.

Bio Menace

Fireballs

For fireballs, move back and forth (from left to right) several times, then press Jump. You'll take a hit, but the enemies will suffer greater harm. :->

Invulnerability

For limited invulnerability, hold the Up key for 2 seconds then press Down.

Shield

For short-term protection, move back and forth (from right to left) several times, then press Jump.

Super Plasma Bolt

Hold the Up key for 2 seconds untill you hear "Charge up", then press Fire. This will cost you one hit but the results are well worth it.

If debug mode isn't enough, here's a few more command-line options.

To access debug mode, start the game with the command "bstone powerball". When the Jam logo appears, press and hold Left Shift, then press and hold Right Shift. If you did this right, a sound will chime.

Cheat Menu

Choose the HELP menu, then select ABOUT. Hold Shift and click on Bug's pupil. A white box will appear. Type "babyseals", then click on WOW. A new blank menu will appear next to the HELP menu. This menu includes level select, invincibility and more!

Flying Bug

Activate the Cheat Menu, then select the Flying Bug option. To use it, press and hold Y while playing.

Level Skip

Activate the Cheat Menu. To skip to the next level while playing, hold the Duck button and press Up.

Bonus Level

To find the bonus level, enter the Pyramid of the Moons. Take the yellow diamond and proceed downward until you see the second yellow keyhole. Use the diamond on the second yellow keyhole. Here you will find several yellow worms. Assemble 12 of them in one place and they'll turn into a giant foot. Jump on the foot to enter the secret pyramid.

Cheat Mode

Press B + A + T to enter cheat mode. You'll recieve shots, gems, and an extra life. You can also access the following cheats by pressing the indicated key.

B - Set border color (1-15)
C - Number of active/inactive objects in the level
D - Record a demo
E - End or finish the current level

To enable cheat mode, type JASSICA16 while playing. You can even move objects by holding H while dragging them with your mouse. In addition, pressing f will reveal all the wall and people boundaries.

Multiple Pipebombs

Increased Warp

Choose a system far away from you (Liainmi, for example) by holding SHIFT and pressing the cursor keys. You'll get a message like: "9000 tons required -- Out of range". Now warp to where you really wanted to go. Using this trick it is possible to warp directly from Facece/Vequess to Sol/Barnards' Star -- even with a Panther Clipper!

From Barnards Star collect as many computers as you can and fly them back to Earth, Once you have enough money, go to a system to the south-east of Earth, and buy narcotics (DONT DO THIS IN REAL LIFE!). Save the game, then return to earth and sell your narcotics on the black market. If you get caught, re-load and use a different dealer.
