Introduction to Phrozen Matrix Alpha

1. The Client Application.

The first thing you'll see when you run the Phrozen Matrix Client Application for the first time is the "new user" application form. Simply fill it in and click the "Create Account" button.

The program will now connect to the Phrozen Matrix Server to get a "user code", the "user code" is your registered Phrozen Matrix ID. During the registration, if you get an error message saying: "The server couldn't serve you right now, please try again later", just restart the program and try again. If you want to run the program over a Local Area Network, simply close the Dial-Up Connection screen and, whatever your connection is, proceed as following.

1:1 The Main Window

Press the "Connect" button to start a session. The drop down list at the bottom of the window displays the user you are currently connected to. The "Options" button is disabled in this version of the program. The "Server" button will display the following window:

1:2 The server window

The "Set Server" button in the server window let's you decide which server to connect to:

The "Hide Server" button in the server window closes the server window.

The "Chat" button inthe server window opens the chat window.

In the combo box you can choose which user you want to chat with. The big text box is the main chat box. The lower text box is the text box from where you send your messages to the other user. And the "Send" button, obviously, send the written text. The "Save Chat Session" button saves whatever has been written to the main chat box.

If someone sends you a message and your chat window is currently closed, this is the window displayed, containing the message written:

In this version the "Cancel" button is the only button that works.

Finally the "Search" button displays this window:

In the drop down list you can choose to search users by the their "UC" number or by their "nick name". In the text box you can enter the users UC or Nick name, and by pressing the "Find" button you start the search. The results will be displayed in the results frame. The "Add" button adds the found user to your contact list.

 

2. The Serverside Application.

The "Disconnect" button disconnects the selected user.

The "Reconnect" button reconnects the selected user.

The "Security" button is used to set the number of users that can be connected at the same time.

The "Shutdown" button is disabled in this version of the program.
