Studies at Artschool, Frankfurt and Academy in Karlsruhe under Scönleber.

  • 1894 Berlin. Studio in "Kurfürstenstrasse"
  • 1905 Discovers "New color in Paris"
  • 1908-13 Travels to Norway, France and Holland. Meets Hodler and Munch and develops his style of pointilism.
  • 1914-23 Berlin and Norway
  • 1924-29 Brazil (Sao Paulo and Rio). Exhibits his work there.
  • 1937 The Nazis forbid him to paint.
  • 1946 Commits suicide on 30th january. Leaving his work to city of Berlin.
