Youth
She was born Octbober 26, 1947 in Houston. Her father was a dentist. Jaclyn has one brother.

Early Career
When she left College at the age of 18 and left for New York, that was the first time she ever was out of Houston. She started her career as a model there. But her big break and the oppurtunity to starr in Charlie's Angels came when she gueststarred in Switch.

The time as an angel
When the show started was Jaclyn the least known actress in Charlie's Angels but after only a few episodes was she a national superstar. She was the only angel who stayed in the Show for five years (1976-1981) and since she had a contract she never thought about breaking it in the same way as Farrah and Kate did.

Late Career
Like all angels had Jaclyn problem to get a reputation as a "serious" actress after Charlie's Angels. But she overcame that problem when she got the role as the former first lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy and earned a Golden Globe nomination for that role. She also had leading roles in Rage of Angels, Windmills of the Gods and many more. She has also created her own health and beauty video, entitled Jaclyn Smith - Workout for Beauty and Balance. A short while after that she decided to put motherhood before career. She has done a few more movies after that but today she is more known for her K-Mart collection.

Private Life
Today she lives together with her third husband, Brad Allan and her two children from the second marriage with Tony Richmond.
