What is European Air ?
European Air is a virtual airline that fly's over the european skys on
our computers at home. We use Microsofts flightsimulator (versions 5.x
6.0 and FS98) When we fly we also like to use a great add-onn called
squakbox. Squakbox is a software that provides you with real weather
and ATC from other people on the internet. altough this system is only
in beta testing stage yet it is absoultely great.
- What is a Virtual Airline ?
A virtual airline (like European Air) is an airline that doesen't excist in the real world. It consists of people flying
on there computers.
- Can i Fly for European Air ?
We want as many pilots as possible to fly for us and if you have access
to a computer with microsofts flightsimulator we would like to see you
fly with us over the european skys.
- Why should i fly in a virtual airline ?
In European Air and most other airlines you will get different flights
assigned to you evry week , this meens that you will see places in the
fs-world you maby would not see if you didn't fly with us. It is very
easy to fly "the usual flight" between a few citys. When flying with us
you will experience new flights evry week.
- But there aren't many european airports in the flightsims ...
Microsoft has always chosen to include many american and few european
airports but this has caused a lot of people to make there own scenerys and
upload them to the internet for other people to enjoy. We will allways see to that
there is a scenery aviable for the airports you will fly to and from. All the scenerys
will be files found at www.flightsim.com . This way you will get new scenerys for
your flightsimulator evry week to , all scenerys used will of course be avaiable as
Freeware , REMEBER WE CHARGE YOU NO MONEY FOR ANYTHING .
- Tell me more about that squakbox program ...
Squakbox is a program enduring wide beta testing . The main purpose of Squakbox is
to give pilots flying MS Flightsimulator ATC ( Air Traffic Control) by other people on
the internet. The controllers use a program called Pro Controll and have all passed a
hard test to assure that they are familiar with the functions of the progams and the
main rules in flightcontroll . When you fly with Sqakbox you will also get the " Real
World" weather in to your computer , this since the server to witch you conected gets
weather updates evry houre from stations all over the world , and this is very accurate.
The thrid thing you get when you download this ( freeware ) program is a FMS , a
flightcomputer that includes several advanced GPS autopilot functions , the FMS also
includes a TCAS ( Terminal Collison Avoidence System) and a ACAR (used to get
weather reports) . There is more info avaiable on this great program at Satco

Please remember that it is in BETA-testing fase and please have patience with it.
-This sounds great but do i have to use Squakbox ?
NO . you do not have to use squakbox when you fly. Since you have to be conected to the
internet ,and that costs money we will not force you to use it. This is supposed to be free.
