Basic facts

My real name is Aili Marianne Frick, and I'm 19 years old. Right now I've just finished studying music at a pre-college (Swe: gymnasium) in Jönköping in southern Sweden. I've studied music for three years now. I will take a year off and work, and after that I will try to become a teacher in Music and English. I'm engaged to a very sweet guy called Rickard, who also is in my class. He plays practically every string instrument there is. I myself play the piano and sing, but I also love to arrange and write music.

I'm also Wiccan, and a member of the Green Party in Sweden. I like sewing, medieval clothes mostly. I love to read, right now my favourite books are the Harry Potter books. I also read a lot of other fantasy authors like M.Z. Bradley, Katherine Kerr, Robert Jordan, David Eddings... I started to write a fantasy novel once, but I didn't get very far. I write fanfiction, though, and read fanfiction from the Harry Potter universe.

I've always been a computer nerd, and I still am. I can sit an entire day in front of my computer in my room, having tremendously fun... I like making homepages and playing with Photoshop. I have an iMac, and I'm a devoted Mac user.

I recently did a personality test on the net based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality model, and scored INFJ (Introverted - iNtuitive - Feeling - Judging). I read the description and it was me in a nutshell. It felt like coming home. I've never seen such a correct description of myself before, it even helped me understand things that had been troubling me. This list consists of some typical INFJ character traits (all of them applies to me!), and it's taken directly from The Dolphin's Cove - home of the INFJ.

  • value personal integrity and "being true to yourself"
  • are on a lifelong search for a unique identity and meaning; spirituality is important to us
  • can be hard to get to know, depending on the other person (reciprocity)
  • are sometimes seen by others as cold and hard on the outside
  • can be difficult to "peg"; sometimes INFJs may not even recognise fellow members of their own type
  • may find it easier to express their deepest feelings and sentiments non-verbally or in writing
  • abhor evil or injustice, especially that directed towards the innocent or helpless
  • are sometimes looked upon by others as naive, mostly due to our idealism
  • can be quite gullible; many INFJs build up a protective armour over the years to protect against this and being "used" by others
  • enjoy thoughtful discussion but dislike arguing for argument's sake, as this often degenerates into ugly conflict
