As a free-standing column (which means that it is
supported only by its base and top), the
Fang in Vail in a
very impressive-looking climb, which
does not always
form.
Indeed, in January 96, with no beta about prior
ascents in the season, I stared at it
for one hour before taking the decision to climb it. George Bell
