| What can you say about the
activities that are arranged at Ericsson MDD? Software day: This is for people who work with software to get together and discuss software handling with companies. I have been to one of those days in two years, and I dont think thats enough. Especially not when you think of the social part. Department day: Each department has one day a year when they arrange different activities to improve the employees´ understanding of the departments´ areas of work, and to strengthen the departments´ solidarity. There is also social activities on either company, department or section leveled basis. We have fun both working and off work, and thats whats most important.
How have you developed at Ericsson MDD? I have had the advantage to be working with experienced people from whom I have learned a lot. I have been allowed to take all the opportunities to further education needed. |
The
opportunities exist, and it is up to each individual how
they want to evolve, and how fast. Is there anything you like to add about your work? It is always fun to see results when you have worked on something. I have seen this through our CDPD-bas station. It is now a commercial product, and the feeling that you have been part of this product exceeds all the parties, journeys and other happenings. Is it easy to get support for an idea? If you mean ideas outside ones work area, they are taken care of, and you are rewarded with different things. Ideas within the area of work, mostly within a specific product, are always welcome, but they have to be accomplished within the project. The disadvantage is the time it takes to realize the idea. But on the other hand the idea is examined and even improved before it is implemented. The company encourages ideas that may lead to a new patent, and you are economically rewarded. Does the company have confidence in the employees? It is hard to tell, but I can say that I trust the company, and I have never felt that the company doesnt trust me. I feel free when I work, and that ought to be a sign of that the company counts my ability to accomplish my work.
