The time period is the end of May through to the start of July 1947 and overlaps with the "Classic" Roswell event. callender: July . June . May . . Su 6 . 29 22 15 8 1 . M 7 . 30 23 16 9 2 . Eye witness accounts have now been gathered that report a "fireball" being seen in the general area of Gallup NM, passing overhead and heading off on in the direction of Socorro. (editions of local newspapers for Key dates around this date(s) seem to be missing from archives) June 1st (Sunday)....... The Cameraman is ordered to the crash site. He does not state his departure time but if we assume he left mid-morning, 10am he could have arrived at Roswell by 8pm that night, this allows for 10hr flying time from Washington. (This figure has been arrived at by using the characteristics of the plane types used at the time and then adding 2hr dead time for stopovers, taxi-takeoff time etc, see notes **) June 2nd (Monday)....... Arrival at the site. ? 2-3am ? At Roswell the cameraman and team transfered to road, could we allow 4 hrs or so for the trip to Socorro and then another 2hrs for the treck out to the site itself. Though still dark this would give the cameraman time to sort his equipement out and maybe put up his tent and as daylight approached, as it was an early summer morning, he might have taken some shots of the site and craft before... 06.00 The first approach by the military towards the craft, and the capture of the crew. June 3rd (Tues)......... No info, one would assume ongoing filming of debris, craft and "tagging" etc. June 4th (Wed).......... The full team now arrives from Washington, the decision is taken to ship out the wrecked craft to Wright Paterson for further study. June 5th (Thur)......... A day to take stock, call up equip etc June 6th (Fri).......... It might be a guess that the shipment might have started on this day, so that most of the movement by truck could have taken place over a weekend. It could be presumed that the craft would have been taken to a nearby base (Alamogordo?) and then transfered on by rail to WP. ..... information for the next period is thin on the ground. Wk Commencing 8th June.... The wrecked craft arrives at WP, so does the cameraman to continue his filming of the investigations. He states he stayed at WP for 3 weeks this would take us through to... Wk Commencing 29th June.. Durring this week the cameraman gets his orders to go to FW and film the autopsies. June 30th (Mon)........ July 1st (Tues)........ July 2nd (Wed)......... July 3rd (Thur)........ The cameraman could have arrived by this date. July 4th (Fri)......... Holiday Weekend starts here, the archaeologists are on there way to Roswell, Barney Barnett is at home mending the house and Jim Ragsdale is off with Trudy on a camping trip. There is a very bad thunderstorm in the area of Corona, Mac Brazel hear's an odd sound, like an explosion, while the storms at it's hight. AND Harry S. Truman is on the Stanley Woodward Estate in Charlottesville VA, he has official engagements on the 4th, the the rest of the weekends his own and undocumented except for "a walk in the garden" on the 5th. July 5th (Sat)......... Brazel finds debris field AND Could an autopsy have taken place on this date ?, would FW base be quiet on this holiday weekend ?, would it have been possible for the US President to attend this autopsy. In some of his statements he has said that Truman was presant and we have the "Truman" film canister. This seems to be the only date from his diaries that would fit. AND it does seem to fit in chronologicaly with the story he has given. July 6th (Sun)......... Brazel heads into Roswell with debris, Wilcox alerts Marcel at RAAF. Marcel, Brazel and Cavitt head for Foster Ranch. AND Pres Truman returns to the Whitehouse, his diary states he left the Woodward estate at 08.20am arriving back in Washington at 12.15pm . July 7th (Mon)......... Marcel, Brazel and Cavitt at debris field till late afternoon when they head back to Roswell. AND Gen Nathan Twining arrives at Alamogordo Air Field, the only official documentation of this seems to be in his flight log. (SF) July 8th (Tue)......... Blanchard issues the press release, by evening Ramey "Empties Roswell teacup" with the balloon story. July 9th (Wed)......... Papers carry balloon story, Roswell is old news.. July 10th(Thur)........ Col Irvine, Ass Chief of Staff HQ to S.A.C visits FW his mission has never been diclosed, his visit was classified as Secret.
