Costa del Sol 1999

It is two years since we last visited Marbella, when we in October 1999 returned to two of our favourite places:

The hotels

Jardines del Mar is within walking distance of the center of Marbella. A quiet situation and generous parking facilities.

Los Monteros, famous luxury hotel since many years is now fully renovated. Situated outside Marbella a car is a must. On the other hand the hotel offers any service you might wish. Be aware, however, that conference groups might seriously affect the otherwise elegant atmosphere!

Costa del Golf

Here is Kiki on her way to the first tee of Rio Real, the golf course of Los Monteros.

And here is Tosse on the first tee of Los Naranjos.

However, Costa del Sol has much more than golf to offer. There are numerous small villages and cities to visit in hte mountains above Marbella.

Such as the ancient city of Ronda with it´s incredible bridge spanning the canyon that cuts through the center of the city.

We finished the sejour with a week at Los Monteros. We naturally enjoyed the fabolous buffet at La Cabane, the beach restaurant of the hotel.
