Brief biography: Jimmy Fun Music was founded in 1986 by artist/songwriter
Per Gessle, the main purpose being to publish Pr's own material recorded
primarily by Roxette. Over the last 8 years Roxette have sold more than
50 million records worldwide under the Jimmy Fun banner. In 1993 Ben Marlene
was brought into the company as Creative Manager and new goals were set
up. Our first target was to find the pearls among the new, young and talented
songwriting generation. The indiepop boom swept heavily over Sweden and
it felt natural to work within this frame since both Per's and Ben's musical
taste is rooted in the glorious 60's and 70's tradition. Our second mission
was to make Jimmy Fun Music into an artist-friendly, flexible and innovative
company. To work more in the ways of modern production and management powerhouse
than in a tradional publishing firm.

Brief biography: The Scandinavian Office of MCA Music Publishin
was opened by current MD Martin Ingeström in early 1993. From the start,
we have focused on finding and bringing forward new and unsigned artists/writers
and then helping them utilize their talent through demos, showcases, independent
promotion etc. After a record contract has been signed, we do not spare
any efforts to maintain a very active role in the launching and marketing
of the artist. Both in 1994 and in 1995 we were voted "Most Interesting
Publisher" by the Swedish music business in trade magazine TOPP40's
annual survey.We have recently struck deals with sucessful independent publishers
such as Telegram Publishing, Rock'n'-Roligan Productions and Black Mark
Productions.
