Brief biography:
The story of Birdnest began in 1983 in the small town of Köping, with
the office situated under the bed in Per Granberg's home. The first release
was a split EP with two local punk acts. In 1987, the project had developed
into what might be called a very small record company and the same year
it officially changed its name to the present one, i.e. Birdnest Records.
In 1988 its mail-order operations where born and the year after Birnest
participated in the founding of Sinderella, a confederation of Swedish independent
record companies.

John Wallin and Christial Wåhlberg launched on November 1st 1996.
Our head office is located in Stockholm and we have offices in Copenhagen,

the importance of working with the product from manufacturing to consumer.
