Enter an individually tailored four to five year programme designed to give you experience and
training across a wide range of the core work carried out at GCHQ.
The chance to work across a number of departments, facing genuine challenges which test your abilities to the full. Tasks like travelling to London
to discuss relevant intelligence issues with representatives from other government departments or working with senior managers to plan future requirements
for support to the intelligence process.
Or expect to obtain in the current academic year, a 1st or 2nd honours in any discipline. The highly developed communication and team skills to
operate effectively at all levels internally and with external contacts. You need to have an ability to adapt to an ever-changing
technical environment, real drive and determination and the intelligence to assimilate and work with information rapidly.
Starting salaries presently range from £15,419 to £19,982, depending on experience and qualifications. New entrants usually start on £15,797.
After 2 years, you can expect this to rise to the range of £18,879 to £24,464.
Performance related pay enables those who perform
to a consistently high standard to benefit accordingly. Salaries are reviewed annually in
October.
