Gopher Bash is an arcade version of the little kid game that you might find at a Chuck E Cheese. It's the result of my very first experiment with Java ("HelloWorld" not included).

GAME IMPLEMENTATION:

To run this game, you'll need to run it in a browser, calling it from an html file. to put the applet on a page, include the following code in your html:

<applet code=goph.class width=400 height=430>
<param name=check value="Gopher Bash! by Pat Friedl Copyright 1998 http://www1.cedar-rapids.net/friedl">
</applet>

All the included files (except the text file) need to be in the directory where the html file is stored.

GAME PLAY:

Playing is simple. a single mouse click on the start/stop buttons starts and stops the game, reseting every time. Clicking on the gopher while he comes up, waits, or goes down results in a strike. Misses result in a try being taken away. When the five tries are gone, you lose the game. Every ten gophers advances you to a new level where the gophers speed up and don't hang around as long. If you get through level 8, then you win the game.

LEGAL JUNK:

This applet and it's images may be used freely by anyone under the condition that proper credit be given to me. None of this applet, either the class files or the images may be sold. I ask that if you do use the applet that you email me and let me know where you are using it. I take no liability for any ill results from this applets usage.
