How to access Sahlin&co's BBS at +46-46-126377

Connect to out bbs by using an ordinary modem software (e.g. Terminal for Windows, Zterm for Mac).

1. Dial the number to Sahlin&co BBS with your modem software.

2. When connected, type "John Doe" to login.

3. Login as user "John Doe", no password.

4. If you have problems selecting terminal type, "T" for text always works.

5. To download a file from Sahlin&co to your computer, press "D".

6. To upload a file from you to Sahlin&co, press "U".

7. When you are ready, press "G" to logout.

Using TeleFinder User

1. Install TeleFinder on your computer, by double-clicking on the icon.

2. Start TeleFinder.

3. A dialog box is displayed. Do the following once:

Enter the phone number to Sahlin&co BBS, the user name "guest", leave password empty, select your modem from the list, and modem port (Windows). If your modem is not in the list, select a similar (a Hayes modem will normally work OK) which you can edit if necessary.

4. Click Dial.

5. When connected and logged in, you will see the Public Files folder and a mailbox.

6. To download a file from Sahlin&co to your computer, double-click the Public Files icon and then double-click the file you want.

7. To upload a file from you to Sahlin&co, double-click the icon with the arrow directed upwards, and select the file from your computer.

8. When you are ready, exit TeleFinder to logout (or select Hang up from the menu Special).

If you are a registered user at Sahlin&co BBS, enter your user name instead of "guest".
