1.
How does LeaseTek keep the system up to date on
accounting rule changes and how do you ensure the
accuracy of the accounting methods used by the system?
LeaseTek has a special
department staffed with lease accounting specialists that
provide our customers with extensive documentation
concerning accounting methods applied in the system.
Furthermore LeaseTek uses Ernst & Young as our
primary accounting resource in order to keep us up to
date on any world-wide accounting rule changes. The
LeaseManag-r complies with the world-wide principles of
IAS 17 as well as FASB 13, CICA 3065 and SSAP 21.
2.
Will the LeaseTek system satisfy my unique billing and
accounting needs?
A system which has been
installed in 20 countries with more than 450 finance
companies, all with their own individual needs and
business practices, is by definition extremely flexible
and adaptable.
3. Who will update
the system and train and support my people?
LeaseTek is committed to a
policy of semi-annual updates which will ensure that the
system is up to date. LeaseTek fully acknowlidges the
importance of training and education. The training
program is developed according to skill level; initial
training for the novice users and advanced training and
software reviews for users with system experience.
4. Will I ever
outgrow the LeaseTek system?
Benchmark testing of the
Client/Server system recently showed that it, for
instance, can process the invoicing of more than 100 000
contracts in less than 30 minutes. Furthermore, LAN
stress test results on the LeaseManag-r DOS/Clipper
product determined its contract capacity to be greater
than 600 000 contracts. The maximum capacity of the C/S
product is determined to be tenfold higher.
5. Does LeaseTek
support a two-tier or a three-tier Client/Server
approach?
The Client/Server system is
using a three tier architecture with a database server
for data storage and manipulation, a middle tier for
business rules and procedures and a client for the
presentation layer.
6. How does LeaseTek
incorporate emerging technologies, such as the Internet
and the WWW, into its products?
