What is a DSPACE board?
Sorry, this page is still under construction!
The DSPACE board is a basic module of computer-based digital signal
processing system featuring DSP, Flash FPGA and extremely flexible i/o
capabilities. It is one of the fundamental components of DSPACE
Project and can be used in various signal processing applications,
such as computer-automated measurement and control systems, fast digital
signal processing and routing. DSPACE Audio board with preinstalled digital
audio transmitter components is optimized for desktop composing (DTC),
as well as sound recording studio, premastering and post-production applications.
The DSPACE board is designed from scratch by Serge Petrusinsky, SPACE
Lab, Inforser Ltd.
General:
DSPACE Audio board requires a 386 (or better) PC and a digital audio device
(or devices) you wish to work with.
Hardware:
DSPACE is a 3/4 PC AT-bus card and carries 3 coaxial (one external and
2 internal) and 1 optical (Toslink) I/O connectors, i.e. you may connect
up to 4 devices to DSPACE, and the input source is software selectable.
DSPACE has both coaxial and optical outputs on board thus allowing interconnection
with practically any digital audio device. And finally
DSPACE has a 15-pin i/o expansion connector.
All hardware interfaces are supported by a supplied Windows-driver,
allowing all Windows MIDI-/audio-programs to use DSPACE and it's internal
capabilities. the optional set of external boxes with various connectors
