This is Ed's first movie. The film was made at the time when Ed had almost no money. So he starred himself in this bio-pic, based on his own secret life as a "closet transvestite".
It is also based loosely on Christine Jorgenson, who made headlines in the early 50's for going to Sweden and having a sex change. Glen or Glenda tells the personal story of a woman trapped inside a man's body.
The film is also known as "I changed my sex", "He or She" and "Transvestite".
This film is really a cult classic that you can't afford to miss.
