Edward Davis Wood,Jr was born 1924 in Poughkeepsie, NY.
At the age of seven he saw his first horrormovie, Dracula
starring Bela Lugosi.
In 1941 Ed graduates from Poughkeepsie high school and then
starts working at the Bardavon Theater.
In 1942
Wood joins the US Marine Corps
1947 Ed
starts to act in stage productions in Hollywood
1953: Ed
meets Bela Lugosi. He films the classic Glen
or Glenda
1955 He
shoots some scenes later used in Plan 9 from
outer space. Bela Lugosi is at this time very ill because of
drug addiction.
1956 Bela
Lugosi dies after several years of drugs.
1959 Plan 9
from outer space is realesed.
In the 60's
Ed writes allmost over 100 movie scripts.
Tor Johnson
(the big swede) who starred in Plan 9 dies in 1971
In the 10th
of december 1978 Ed Wood dies of a heartattack.
